One of the best gifts you can give someone is something personal. Something they won't find anywhere else and something that will always remind them of you and the moment you gave it to them. That's why, at SWIG, we offer engraving on our flasks. We give you the pages, you write the story. 

I've always loved to see what people are engraving their flasks with. I understand that at moments like Christmas, stress can take over and inspiration may not be at its best. For that, today I thought I'd show you some great ideas for engraving messages, based on what our customers have asked in the past.

1. A date

We all have special dates that have marked our lives. A first date, a wedding, a birthday or even a graduation day. Engraving a date on your gift is a beautiful way of immortalising those days and having a constant reminder of happy memories.

2. A name

Again a very obvious one, but sometimes the simple stuff is what makes a difference. Either their name, the name of their hometown, or the name of a restaurant or cafe that holds a special place in your heart. 

3. Coordinates 

This is a very creative one we've seen more and more of lately! People ask to have the coordinates of the place where they got engaged or married at. Besides a nice and warming swig of whisky you'll always know the way to a happy place. 

4. A wedding message

We have lots of people buying SWIG Hip Flasks for weddings. Naturally if you do, you won't want to engrave anything else other than your wedding or a love message. Include the names of the couple, the wedding date, and a quick message such as "Wishes of eternal happiness from your groomsman"

5. A joke or a pun 

These are our absolute favourite! Some of the puns make us crack up here at the Swoffice and I'm sure they'll make the gift receipient smile every time they use their swig flask. I've curated a few of the office favourites, should you need inspiration :)
